【Kimono art panel set】”Red and Black” Showa period (14x18cmx3)

A kimono art panel set made by upcycling 2 black festive kimonos and 1 under-kimono called nagajuban.

The kimonos that became the basis for this panel set are kimonos from the early Showa era, a type called black tomesode, a type worn by married ladies. I made it by cutting out the part with the family crest. Items on the sides have Tsurumaru (crane in circle) and paulownia crest. The red panel is upcycled from red nagajuban from Taisho period - over 100 years ago.

This black tomesode and nagajuban
have been sleeping in a closet for many years, but I decided to make use of the undamaged part and remade it into an art panel.

Tsurumaru crane family crest is linked with Tsurugaoka Hachimangu Shrine, and it is a very powerful family crest.

Since it is a set of 3 pieces, you can decorate them together or separately.

The panel can be displayed on a table, etc.

You will need tacks or nails to hang it on the wall.

Because it is light, you can hang it with two ordinary thumbtacks.
